What do you wish for, you know generally? Have any of your wishes come true?
No, I am not talking about a great family, husband, kids, health… No.
I am talking about a job, a dress, a car, a date, appreciation, a good grade… ( you get the drift)
Have you wished for something so badly, that when you see it coming true, it scares you badly and you just feel, just for a moment, it doesn’t come true NOW, but sometime later so that you could just hold on to the hope of that wish and work towards making that wish come true?
Wish generally means, a hope or desire for something, to acquire something…
Wish is defined as :
1. to want; desire; long for (usually fol. by an infinitive or a clause): I wish to travel. I wish that it were morning.
2.to desire (a person or thing) to be (as specified): to wish the problem settled.
3.to entertain wishes, favorably or otherwise, for: to wish someone well; to wish someone ill.
4.to bid, as in greeting or leave-taking: to wish someone a good morning.
5.to request or charge: I wish him to come.
Is that how you would define it too?
Is a wish, a hope? Some kind of faith that you hold on to or work towards?

yep! But my wishes are mostly foolproof
Say if I wish for a certain grade, somewhere at the back of my mind I know I am gonna getting that grade, so the wish is just making sure I dont get something below it.

Wishes… well.. its twisted for me … things turns out the opposite way for a while just to taunt me and then when i think of asking it to take a hike, it falls in line

Whenever I wish that something shld happen, I dont ponder on it for long. The more longer you think about it, it becomes difficult to accept defeat or disappointment.
Wish for it. Leave it at that stage. But dont stop working for that wish to come true. Sounds confusing ?????? Your focus shld be on working on making that wish come true rather than simply wishing every second for a miracle to happen. Is that better ?????
I use wishes like facts too. I wish for something then try to work to reach it. Except when I’m being too unreasonable! Or lazy! Which is quite often:(
Making a wish involves hope, imagination and even courage to make those dreams a reality.
Why would you wish for something and then worry about it coming true?

Most of the time i forget what i wished for and when i get it than i rememeber that i wished for it.
Well, they say ‘if wishes were horses, beggars would ride’, not that I have anything against beggars, to each his own. To think about it, my wishes are normally one day kinda things, like I wish in the morning that I get time in the evening to try out that new recipe. Or I wish I could wind up the grocery shopping today and not drag it until the weekend. Quite mundane actually, sort of wishing in black and white, no fancy colors here. And I get a kick if they come true!!
